A Fishing Guru
A Fishing Guru is a locally owned, small-operation fishing charter based in Islamorada, Florida — running private offshore and inshore trips out of Three Waters Marina and Angler House Marina. We're not a big-box outfit with rotating crews; every trip is run by a captain who fishes these waters personally, day in and day out, and who knows how the tide, bait, and season shift the bite from one week to the next.
We follow the color lines, track the bait schools, and read the subtle shifts in tide and current that make Islamorada such a unique fishery. When you step aboard, the rods are rigged, the bait's ready, and the plan is shaped around what's happening that day. Your only job is to get comfortable and enjoy the water.Whether you're chasing mahi offshore, hoping to hook a tarpon in the backcountry, or just want a relaxed day on the water with your family, we'll make sure your trip is full of the kind of moments that stay with you long after you're back at the dock.
Offshore trips focus on blue-water species such as mahi, tuna, sailfish, wahoo, snapper, and grouper, depending on the season and conditions. Inshore trips are built around quiet flats, shallow channels, and close-range fishing — this is where the tarpon, snook, redfish, and trout spend their time. Conditions are calm, the scenery is classic Florida Bay, and the fishing is as hands-on as it gets.
